You might be between jobs, want to develop yourself in a new area, or have just completed your education. Then this could be the right role for you.

About Us

Specialfastigheter owns, develops, and manages security properties. The property portfolio includes correctional facilities, youth homes, court buildings, and police properties. We are looking for a junior sustainability specialist to assist our sustainability department in daily operations. The role is broad and developmental, involving everything from research and analysis to coordination and administrative support for ongoing initiatives.

You will report to the sustainability manager and become an important part of the team, contributing to structuring, developing, and driving sustainability efforts forward. The tasks will vary over time depending on the needs of the organization, which requires flexibility and commitment.

Your main responsibilities include:

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background in areas such as sustainable development, environmental science, urban planning, economics, or equivalent. You may be a recent graduate or have a few years of experience in the field of sustainability.

To succeed in this role, we believe you are:

  • Knowledgeable about sustainability issues
  • Proactive and driven with a desire to contribute and take responsibility
  • Structured and meticulous with strong analytical skills
  • Flexible and unpretentious – willing to pitch in where needed
  • A good communicator with the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written forms
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team

Location

Your workplace will be in Stockholm, but since we have properties across the country, travel is included in the position.

Application & Other Information

The position is a fixed-term full-time employment lasting until 31/12-2026. The application deadline is 2025-03-20. We welcome your application!

Recruitment Process

We will begin the selection process after the application period has ended. We will then contact relevant candidates to schedule interviews. Prior to a potential employment, we will conduct a special security assessment where we perform a security interview and review final judgments from Swedish courts. Before employment, we will also conduct alcohol and drug tests through our occupational health services. Additionally, some of our clients may require placement in a security classification and subsequent background checks in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585 chapter 3).
